A journey from Liberia to your plate, crafted with love and tradition
Founder & Owner, BigFish Cuisine
My journey to the kitchen began long before I ever realized it was my calling...
I grew up as the only boy in a household of strong women—my mother and four sisters—who surrounded me with love, discipline, resilience, and culture. While I had many talents, from music and basketball to art and technology, one gift continued to grow quietly and steadily: my passion for cooking and serving people.
It started in the kitchen, where I would watch, learn, and eventually join my mother and sisters as they prepared our traditional Liberian meals. These dishes carried more than flavor—they carried stories, memories, and the spirit of home. Cooking became a way for me to stay connected to my roots, honor my heritage, and bring comfort to others.
Today, I'm proud to share those same dishes with you through my home-based African food business. Liberian cuisine is rich, soulful, and deeply flavorful—and I believe it deserves its own spotlight in the world of food. Every meal I prepare is a tribute to my family, our journey, and the beautiful culture we carry with us.
This isn't just food. It's history, healing, and heart on a plate.
Welcome to a taste of Liberia.
